Book Induced Insomnia
In the transition phase between YA books and so-called "adult" books. I read to escape. Prone to falling asleep curled up with a book. Dystopian society stories are consistently some of my favorites.
This is my... sixth? I think sixth book I've read by Maggie Stiefvater. She is a master at totally immersing her audience in her stories and this time was no different.
While I will admit that Sinner was a little difficult to get through starting at about the 3/4 mark, the ending more than made up for the small part that was tough to read. Although I think the only reason it was really tough for me to read was because I wanted to punch Isabel in the throat for being so endlessly frustrating (which was probably the point).
Stiefvater's attention to detail is flawless as she even used her website to make connections to the book. www.sharpt33th.com is Stiefvater's blog which was used to show images of the specific places Isabel and Cole visited in the book. The name connects to the story wonderfully.
I couldn't have asked for a better followup on Isabel and Cole.
